What to Have Ready Before You Ask for an Auto Quote

Joe’s tip

If anything here raises a question about your own coverage, call or text me at 636-293-9498. I would rather talk it through than have you guess.

Getting an accurate auto quote is quick when you have a few details handy. Here is the short list I go through with every client, and why each one matters.

The basics

  • Your name, address and date of birth
  • Driver’s license number for each driver
  • Email and a phone number where you can be reached

Drivers and vehicles

For every vehicle, I need the year, make and model. For every driver, the date of birth and roughly how many years they have been driving. If there is a teen driver in the house, tell me, because it changes the picture and there are discounts worth finding.

Let me know about any accidents, tickets or claims in the last few years. Yes, it can affect the price, but hiding it does not help: it will come up anyway, and an accurate quote is the only kind worth having.

Getting a real apples-to-apples comparison

If you already carry insurance, a photo of your current policy or declarations page is the single most helpful thing you can send. I can match the coverage you have, show you where you may be carrying more or less protection than you think, and give you a true comparison rather than a guess.

When you are ready, start a quote request on this site, or call or text me at 636-293-9498. We will get right to work on the best proposal we can put together.
